Trullo Santala

Trullo Santala is a delightful, recently-refurbished detached trullo, with all amenities, including a splendid swimming pool, which makes it the ideal trullo for a totally relaxing holiday.

Sitting atop one of the highest points in the Valle d’Itria, Trullo Santala affords breathtaking views, 35 minutes away from the beaches of both the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea. Trullo Santala lies just 9 km from Martina Franca and 9 km from the trullo town of Alberobello, in a quiet neighbourhood, ideal for day trips to the area’s most fascinating tourist destinations: both Lecce with its famous Baroque churches and Bari with its Romanesque cathedrals are under an hour away; the delightful Valle d’Itria towns of Ostuni and Cisternino are about 15 minutes away; Monopoli and Polignano, charming cities overlooking the sea are half an hour from here; while it takes 40 minutes or so to get to Castellana Grotte and its famous caves.

The house has central heating, so it’s perfectly snug and warm even in winter. Elegantly furnished with period furniture, it contains the following rooms: living room with TV and sofa bed; kitchen equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots and pans plus hob and oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer; dining room with table, chairs for 6 people and antique furniture; 2 spacious, comfortable double bedrooms with wardrobe; 3 bathrooms with shower.

The outdoor area is made up of a large garden with trees and flowerbeds plus a large paved area with a gazebo designed for enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner outside, as well as a wood-fired oven for making pizzas and bread.

Also outside are a laundry, a spacious private onsite parking area and a large 8 x 4 m swimming pool in natural stone for exclusive use by guests.

The owners, who speak both English and Italian, live locally, so they’re on hand to help out with any issues that might arise.
