Trullo Meraviglie

Trullo Meraviglie (Trullo of Wonders) is located on the top of a typical hill of the Murgia formation/plateau overlooking a tiny valley, from which at distance you can view/notice the towns of Martina Franca and Locorotondo, and offers a stunning panorama with breathtaking sunsets.

An enchanting place, comfortable and contemplative, immersed in the nature and silence of the Apulian countryside.

The name and logo of Trullo Meraviglie have been inspired by the creativity of the owner’s nephew who, still a baby, draw them on a cardboard.

The property falls within the county/territory of the city of Ostuni, 18 km away, though is much closer to Martina Franca, just 5 km away. Not too far from the Trullo you can reach a tobacco bar and a convenient supermarket stocked with everything needed for daily and weekly shopping.

Indeed, it is strategically positioned at the crossroads between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto and, therefore, near to the most beautiful destinations of the Itria Valley, with their ancient, fascinating and busy historical centers and their food and wine suggestions. Alberobello, the Trulli town and UNESCO site, at 20 km distance; the striking villages of Locorotondo, 10 km away, and Ceglie Messapica, 12 km away; Grottaglie with its charming ceramic district/quarter at 22 km distance; the white city of Ostuni; the enchanting tiny Cisternino, 9 km away, and the elegant city of arts of Martina Franca are all destinations within reach where it’s possible to admire baroccal, romanic and rural architectures or to be captured by the flavors of the excellent and exquisite products of the Apulian gastronomy and cuisine

The Adriatic Sea coast can be reached in about 30 minute drive distance while the Ionian Sea one is farther, about 60 minutes.

The Brindisi Airport, at circa 60 km South way, can be easily reached in less than one hour while Bari Airport, at circa 90 km North way, takes about one hour.

Trullo Meraviglie is a seven cones structure, resulting from the restoration of an ancient rural trullo utilized in the past for the vine cultivation, harvesting and processing.

The restoration  has been rigorously executed following the original structure and the tradition of local stone masters. The overall structure is composed by an ancient main independent section with an entrance into a living room hosting two opposite alcoves at its sides respectively furnished with a sofa bed and a fireplace to warm up the cooler evenings during autumn and winter; a double room with a private bathroom and a large kitchen decorated with ceramic tiles from the 19th century, which is the result of a scrupulous rescue effort pursued by the owners.

In the ancient section, one of the alcove is furnished with a double sofa bed which can accommodate 2 other persons or children. Additional solution can also be arranged upon request to accommodate children.

The complex is completed by other two twin trulli, both with independent access and double room, private bathroom and comfortably furnished.

Sober, elegant taste and furnishings, all in recycled wood, provide to this trullo character and originality.

Memories of an ancient rurality are melt with contemporary comfort with distinctive care to the sustainability of materials and construction techniques

The trullo is equipped with a floor heating system, large parking area shaded by centennial olive trees, external porch with an extendable table, relaxing areas, Wi-Fi and outdoor shower.

The veranda in front of the property is bordered by a stone fence and surrounded by a Mediterranean garden of plants and essences and olive trees.

From here, a small path leads you to the field, now cultivated with hay, where the swimming pool area is located, with a shaded patio, a solar shower and surrounded by a stone tile floor terrace.
