Beltrullo

An ancient trullo immersed in a sea of olive trees, just a few minutes from the centre of Ceglie Messapica, 5 km away, while the famous white city of Ostuni is just 15 km from Beltrullo. Made up of three cones and five lamias (barrel- or cross-vaulted stone rooms), it displays all the traditional features of local rural buildings combined with the charm of original, authentic, tasteful furnishings. The interiors are made up of large, very bright spaces, while the altitude guarantees a cool evening temperatures even at the height of summer.

Martina Franca, Grottaglie, Cisternino and Locorotondo are also a handful of kilometres away, while it takes around 30 minutes to get either to the Ionian or the Adriatic coasts. In order to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside to the full, from May to October the olive grove has an exclusive 10 x 4 metre swimming pool flanked by a shady gazebo with masonry furnishings.

Beltrullo covers a total area of 175 m² and consists of one main residential unit and one annex for a total of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main building has a large entrance hall, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large living room, a spacious well-equipped kitchen together with a dining area with table and chairs. The annex is a single lamia with barrel roof, queen-size bed and bathroom.

The entrance/hallway to the house is right under the main cone. Across the hallway is a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A corridor to the right leads to a lamia housing a sleeping area made up of two double bedrooms (or twin rooms if you so choose) and a bathroom. To the left of the entrance is a large fully-equipped kitchen as well as a bright living area with large windows that create a truly unique continuum of space between inside and outside. All of the bedrooms open out onto the garden, where a large gazebo holds a table and stone benches covered with cushions for relaxing together. Next door, is the stand-alone lamia with the fourth bedroom which has a queen-size bed and bathroom. This beautiful trullo is also equipped with a laundry room.

Beltrullo is surrounded by about one and a half hectares of grounds, where a hundred or so olive, fig, almond and pomegranate trees grow. A few steps from the house, a path leads to the swimming pool next to which is a comfy gazebo furnished with brickwork sofas and cushions.

To ensure total privacy and security, the whole property is surrounded by a dry stone wall over six foot high all along the external perimeter and by an electric entrance gate.
