La Trullara

The red soil on which, over 200 years ago, here in the heart of the Itria Valley, the La Trullara masseria was built, on about 12,000 sq m. of land, is populated by an expanse of olive trees and dozens of various kinds of fruit tree: cherry, pear, apple, persimmon, almond and fig. The surroundings are extremely quiet, making it the ideal place for those looking to relax in the midst of nature, spend a wonderful holiday in Puglia and enjoy the experience of staying in a trullo. Nearby are an 18-hole golf course and a riding stables with splendid horses for long, unforgettable rides through the olive groves, passing ancient trulli and masserias. About 300 metres from the house is one of the most picturesque bike paths anywhere in Italy, which is also great for walking, winding for miles around this magnificent holiday home in the heart of the Valle d’Itria.  With its characteristic rocky inlets, the Adriatic Sea is just a 15 minute drive from here, while it takes around 30 minutes to get to the Ionian Sea with its breathtaking colours and fine sandy beaches.

La Trullara is a beautiful house for your holidays in Puglia at any time of year – in summer, with its panoramic pool and relaxing private pine forest, and in winter, when the combination of a large fireplace creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere and an under-floor heating system makes it warm and comfortable even at the coldest times of year. The three units, one trullo and two lamias (stone rooms with barrel- and cross-vaulted ceilings) can comfortably sleep 6, 4 and 2 people, respectively, for a total of 10-12 guests at a time.

The La Trullara holiday home consists of 3 separate units making up a single complex: I Trulli, formed of nine cones, covering an area of ​​over 180 square metres; La Lamia Verde, a sizeable lamia of about 75 square metres; and La Lamia Suite, a comfortable and intimate 45 sq.m. lamia, equipped with every comfort.

Each unit is independent, with its own separate entrance, orchard and private solarium, garden furniture and exclusive terrace, ensuring maximum privacy for each guest or group of guests.

All the guests share the large easy-to-use barbecue, the lovely pine wood by the panoramic swimming pool, table tennis table, and hot and cold outdoor showers. Each elegantly furnished unit has its own kitchen or kitchenette with all mod cons, bathroom with shower, satellite TV and WIFI facility. 

I Trulli is the name of the biggest unit, made up of 9 cones. This trullo can easily sleep 6 people in three comfortable double bedrooms, one of which is large and has an old fireplace. There are also two bathrooms, one with a bath, a large hallway/living room, a dining room with large kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, including a 500 litre fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and satellite TV. The kitchen overlooks a splendid 120 square metre panoramic terrace, elegantly furnished and equipped with a dining table seating eight people, a comfortable sofa, two comfortable armchairs, four recliners, and two smaller tables with four chairs each.

La Lamia Verde has an elegant master bedroom with a large chest of drawers; a very large living room with fireplace and double sofa bed; a fully-equipped kitchenette and a stylish bathroom with shower, satellite TV. Outside is a large garden with orchard measuring about 3000 square metres for the exclusive use of guests, as well as a patio, with a dining table for 6 people.

La Suite, surrounded by olive trees, is ideal for a couple seeking privacy and serenity. In addition to all the usual comforts of the property, it has a kitchen with cupboard space and large fridge; outside is a large 30 sq. m. patio with recliners and large dining table.
